Srivari sevaks engaged in the service of Lord Rama
TIRUPATI/VONTIMITTA, MARCH 27, 2026: As part of the Sri Rama Navami Brahmotsavams, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) formally commenced the packing of Talambralu on Friday at the temple for the upcoming Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam scheduled on April 1.
The preparation and packing of the sacred pearl Talambralu, which holds great significance in the Sri Sita Rama Kalyanotsavam to be held on April 1 as part of the Sri Kodandarama Swamy Brahmotsavams, began with the participation of Srivari Sevaks. The program started with special rituals in the temple, after which the materials were taken in a ceremonial procession to the PAC near the Kalyana Vedika.

Earlier, on March 25, the ritual of grinding turmeric required for the preparation of Talambralu was performed. In the designated hall, Talambralu are being prepared by mixing rice, turmeric, and ghee. Along with the Talambralu, pearls and sacred threads (Kankanam) are being placed, and about 1.60 lakh packets are being readied.
Around 600 Srivari Sevaks from Kadapa and Annamayya districts are participating in the preparation of these Talambralu packets as part of their service during the Brahmotsavams.
Deputy Executive Officers Prashanthi and Siva Prasad, along with other officials, took part in the programme.
