IRUPATI/VONTIMITTA, MARCH 27, 2026: The Sri Rama Navami Brahmotsavams commenced in a grand manner on Friday morning with the ceremonial Dhwajarohanam at the Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple in Vontimitta.
The Dhwajarohanam ritual was performed between 9:30 AM and 10:15 AM during the auspicious Vrishabha Lagnam, in accordance with the Pancharatra Agama traditions. The sacred Garuda flag was installed, and the ceremony was conducted as per scriptural procedures under the supervision of Kankana Bhattar Sri Rajesh Kumar.

Earlier, the Garuda flag was taken in a ceremonial procession. Rituals such as Garuda Pratishta, Prana Pratishta, and Netronmeelanam were performed. The Dhwajasthambham was given Navakalasa Panchamrita Abhishekam. Through rhythmic offerings (Raga-Tala Nivedanam), all deities, including Indra, Navagrahas, and Ashta Dikpalakas were invoked and invited to the Brahmotsavams, followed by the Dhwajarohanam ceremony.
On this occasion, Vedic scholars rendered Chaturveda Parayanam.
Deputy Executive Officers A. Prashanthi and A. Siva Prasad, along with other officials and a large number of devotees, participated in the event.
