KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 23, 2026: In a grand and inspiring tribute to the martyrdom of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar, and Shivaram Rajguru, the Telangana Government Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women (TGSWRDCW), Nagunur, Karimnagar town, organised a comprehensive commemorative programme under the Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, on Monday.
The programme was graced by Chief Guest M. Venkat Rambabu, District Youth Officer, Karimnagar, and Guest of Honour Areti Santhosh Kumar, Advocate, Resource Person (Dr. MCRHRD), and Data & Cyber Analyst. The event was presided over by Principal T. Malathi. Vice Principal S. Padmaja, NSS Programme Officer K. Geetha Rani, and College Superintendent T. Suresh Kumar, along with senior faculty members E. Venkateswarlu and P. Shankaraiah, and faculty members V. Ambika, Imrose, and M. Radhika, actively participated in the programme.

A series of patriotic and socially relevant activities was conducted to instil leadership qualities and a sense of responsibility among students. Essay Writing and Elocution competitions on revolutionary ideologies witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and NSS volunteers. A vibrant Padayatra was organised across the campus to promote awareness about the MY Bharat portal.
Demonstrating the spirit of selfless service, NSS volunteers also undertook a Shramadanam drive to clean the college premises, reinforcing the importance of civic responsibility and community service.
The programme concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony, where the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour presented awards to the winners. Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries encouraged students to actively utilise digital platforms for national development and to contribute towards achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
