Donates Rs 74.08 lakhs for the construction of three modular operation theatres and the purchase of a bus
KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 20, 2026: IDBI Corporate Officers led by CGM Janakiraman M, DGM Venkatesh, Manager Srinivas Kolipaka and others visited the Lions Club of Karimnagar Dr Bhaskar Madekhar Charitable Eye Hospital in Rekurthi of Karimnagar town on Friday.
The IDBI has donated Rs 74,08,700 as part of its CSR grant for the construction of three Modular operation theatres at the hospital and a bus for the transportation of the patients. Accordingly, the IDBI officials had inaugurated the modular theatre, and the bus services would be launched very soon.
Lions Charitable Eye Hospital chairman Konda Venu Murthy has urged the bank to provide assistance of Rs 4 crore for the purchase of a Lasic machine for the precise eye surgeries and benefit the poorer sections of the north Telangana region.
Accordingly, IDBI CGM Janakiraman responded positively and assured to examine the issue during the next financial year’s CSR programmes. The Lions club members Chidura Suresh, Prakash Holla, Kola Anna Reddy, Sharath Krishna, Myadam Shivakanth, Singam Raju, Praveen Chawla and others were also present.
