KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 20, 2026: It is a great honour for a South Indian cooperator to be re-nominated as the Governing Council member of Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD) Lucknow for the third consecutive term by NABARD on Friday.
Konduru Rao, the former Chairman of NAFSCOB and Karimnagar DCCB, has been re-nominated as the Governing Council member of BIRD, Lucknow, for the third consecutive term for a period of another two years till 2028.
Mr Rao was first inducted into the BIRD, Lucknow, as a GC member in the year 2021 at its 50th council meeting. Again at its 59th council meeting, Mr Ravinder Rao was re-nominated as the GC member for the third consecutive term.
Mr Ravinder Rao as the Karimnagar DCCB chairman, had transformed the bank into a role model cooperative bank in the country and ensured that it had won NAFSCOB awards for the ninth consecutive year as the all-India best cooperative bank in the country. As the former TGCAB chairman, he had also introduced several reforms in the cooperatives and took measures for the strengthening of the PACS and taking up Information Technology to ensure transparency.
