RAMAGUNDAM, MARCH 19, 2026: The NTPC Ramagundam celebrated the auspicious Ugadi, the Telugu New Year, marking the beginning of Parabhava nama samvatsaram, with great enthusiasm and fervour by Jyothika Welfare Association, the Recreation Club of Ramagundam & Telangana Stations, on Thursday.
Mr Chandan Kumar Samanta, ED (R&T), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The programme was also attended by Mr Mukul Rai, GM (O&M), TeSTPS; Mr Manish Agarwal, GM (O&M), RSTPS; and Mr Bijoy Kumar Sikdar, AGM (HR), along with representatives from NTPC Karmik Sangh, NTPC Mazdoor Sangh, NEAR (NTPC Executive Association of Ramagundam), employees, their family members, and members of the press and electronic media.
The programme commenced with the township temple priest elaborating on the significance of Ugadi. He presented the Panchangam (almanac) and explained the influence of Raasi, Nakshatra, and planetary movements on the overall growth and prosperity of NTPC in the coming year.
Extending his Ugadi greetings, the Chief Guest conveyed his best wishes to all employees and their families. Emphasising the principle that “Work is Worship,” he urged everyone to continue working with dedication and sincerity so that the positive energies of the festival translate into collective organisational success. He appreciated the priest for the insightful Panchangam narration and lauded the efforts of Jyothika Welfare Association for organising the celebration in a spirit of inclusiveness.
The programme concluded on a cheerful note with wishes for a happy, healthy, and prosperous Telugu New Year for all.
