HYDERABAD, MARCH 14, 2026: Officials of the Drugs Control Administration, Telangana, raided a logistics depot at Hayathnagar and seized huge stocks of Sildenafil tablets worth Rs. 2.7 lakhs, which were illegally shipped into Telangana from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
In an official release here on Saturday, the DCA officials said that on credible information, on Friday, the officials raided the depot of logistics service provider Delhivery Limited, in Autonagar, Hayathnagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, and detected huge stocks of Sildenafil Tablets 100 mg bearing the brand name Dr Josh, Batch No. AGT305126, Mfg. Dt. 05/2023, Exp. Dt. 04/2026, claimed to be manufactured by Alventa Pharma Limited, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, that were shipped from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, illegally without any invoices.
The said consignment was illegally shipped by Puvvada Lakshmana, a habitual spurious drug offender, and various spurious drug cases are pending against him in the State. Sildenafil tablets are used in the treatment of Erectile Dysfunction. Stock of 7,300 tablets worth Rs. 2.7 lakhs was seized by the DCA officials during the raid. L. Raju, Drugs Inspector, Hayathnagar J Nagaraju, Drugs Inspector, Saroornagar, carried out the raid under the supervision of G. Prasad, Assistant Director, Rangareddy.

DCA Director General Shahnawaz Qasim said the public may report any complaints regarding illegal activities related to medicines, as well as any other suspected manufacturing activities concerning drugs, including narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, in residential, commercial, or industrial areas through the Drugs Control Administration, Telangana Toll-Free Number 1800-599-6969, operational from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm on all working days.
