HYDERABAD, MARCH 13, 2026: A curtain raiser event for the Sri Vasavi Mahashakti Mahotsavam – Vasavi Parayanam World Record Attempt was held at Park Hyatt, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad today. The programme is being organised by the Arya Vysya Welfare and Development Trust in association with the Telangana State Arya Vysya Corporation, Government of Telangana.
The organisers informed that the main event, Vasavi Parayanam, will be conducted on March 22, 2026, at LB Stadium, Hyderabad, with participation expected from more than 35,000 devotees, including over 21,000 women. The programme aims to create a world record through the collective recital of Vasavi Parayanam and to celebrate the spiritual legacy of Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari Ammavaru.
Participating as the chief guest, Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries, Sports and Youth Services Vakiti Srihari stated that Sri Vasavi Mata occupies a revered place in the spiritual tradition of the Arya Vysya community and continues to guide society through her teachings of dharmam, sheelam and ahimsa. He observed that the initiative to organise a mass Vasavi Parayanam with thousands of devotees reflects the deep faith and unity within the Arya Vysya community.
The Minister said that such programmes not only promote devotion but also strengthen cultural and social bonds within the community. He stated that the proposed event at LB Stadium should be conducted on a grand scale and called upon members of the Arya Vysya community across the State to participate in large numbers and make the programme a historic success.

He expressed confidence that the event would stand as a symbol of collective devotion and unity of the Arya Vysya community. The Minister further noted that the world record attempt would present the cultural heritage and spiritual traditions associated with Sri Vasavi Mata before a global audience.
The Minister also highlighted the contribution of the Arya Vysya community to society through entrepreneurship, social responsibility and philanthropy. He observed that the community has historically played an important role in local economies across villages and towns and continues to contribute significantly to social and economic development.
He appreciated the efforts of the organisers in planning a large scale spiritual programme and stated that initiatives which promote cultural heritage and community harmony should receive widespread support. The Minister called upon community members to mobilise greater participation and expressed hope that the Vasavi Parayanam would witness participation exceeding forty thousand devotees.
Special Commissioner, Information and Public Relations Department Priyanka, attending as a guest of honour, stated that it is encouraging to see such enthusiastic participation from members of the community in organising the event. She noted that the immediate response from sponsors and supporters reflects the strong spirit of unity and cooperation among the organisers and participants.
She stated that programmes which bring together people around spiritual and cultural values strengthen social harmony and community engagement. She conveyed her best wishes to the organisers and expressed confidence that the programme would be conducted successfully with wide participation.
The organisers informed that Sri Vasavi Mahashakti Mahotsavam is envisioned as a historic spiritual, cultural and social gathering dedicated to honouring the life and teachings of Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari Ammavaru. The event will highlight the principles of righteousness, moral conduct, nonviolence and social harmony associated with her legacy.
As part of the Mahotsavam, a mass Vasavi Parayanam will be conducted with thousands of devotees participating together in devotional recitation. The organisers stated that special arrangements are being made to facilitate participation from across Telangana and neighbouring states.
The programme will particularly encourage participation of women devotees, with more than 21,000 women expected to take part in the Parayanam as part of the world record attempt. The initiative is intended to symbolise spiritual devotion, cultural identity and the collective strength of the Arya Vysya community.
The Arya Vysya Welfare and Development Trust informed that it is also undertaking several community welfare initiatives, including educational support, healthcare assistance and skill development programmes aimed at empowering members of the community and supporting social development.
On the occasion, the logo, poster and brochure of Sri Vasavi Mahashakti Mahotsavam were released by Minister Vakiti Srihari. Rajani Sisters, noted spiritual singers known for their bhajans and kirtans, presented devotional performances.
