The Telangana CM describes Netflix’s Eyeline Studios launch in Hyderabad as proof of Hyderabad’s growing role in the global entertainment & AVGC sector

HYDERABAD, MARCH 13, 2026: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, along with IT Minister D Sridhar Babu, inaugurated Netflix’s Eyeline Studios — a hub for world-class VFX and virtual production for the streaming giant’s films and web series for the world. The company chose Hyderabad thanks to the state government’s “forward-looking policy environment,” it said.
Actor Rana Daggubati, Jeff Shapiro, CEO of Netflix’s Eyeline Studios, several top Netflix executives, Sanjay Jaju, Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, and Special Secretary to CM B. Ajith Reddy took part in the launch event.
The Chief Minister highlighted the evolution of technology in filmmaking over the decades, and hoped that Eyeline Studios in Hyderabad would support and encourage Telugu filmmakers in the years to come. “I have been fascinated by movies since childhood,” he said, adding that several Telugu movies received global applause in recent times.
“The launch of Netflix’s Eyeline is proof of India’s and Telangana’s growing role in shaping the future of global entertainment.”
Netflix’s Eyeline Studios will further strengthen the vibrant Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) sector in Hyderabad. It will help create advanced skilling initiatives and high-quality employment opportunities for local creative and technical talent.
The CM promised all the support for Netflix’s further expansion in Hyderabad, detailing the plans for building the dedicated Entertainment Zone and AI City in Bharat Future City. We invite Netflix to set up its corporate office in Bharat Future City. We are ready to extend all possible support. Hyderabad is a natural home for Netflix.” Bharat Future City will be home to all the Fortune-500 companies, he explained.
While Netflix collects talent and content from all over the world for viewers globally, Hyderabad connects opportunities and talent globally, the Chief Minister added.
“I am sure with the coming of Netflix Eyeline facility here, we will see more content showcasing Telangana to global audiences. The launch of Netflix’s Eyeline Studios marks the arrival of Hollywood in Hyderabad.” He also mentioned Telangana’s focus on sports, building sports infrastructure, and plans to build a sports university.
