KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 07, 2026: Under the Praja Palana Pragathi Pranalika initiative, a special cleanliness drive was carried out today at Government Degree College for Women (Autonomous), Karimnagar. Departments, laboratories with equipment, classrooms, library and other facilities were thoroughly cleaned. Apart from students, faculty members also participated enthusiastically.
Speaking to the press, Institutional implementation Committee Coordinator P. Swaroopa informed that this was the second day of the program. She stated that similar activities will continue over the next 10 days under a prepared action plan covering various programmes.
The initiative is being conducted under the chairpersonship of College Principal Prof. D. Varalakshmi, and will be completed within the next 10 days as scheduled.

Sultan Chand and sons donate books worth Rs 5.74 lakhs
On the other hand, Sultan Chand and Sons Private Limited has donated 1256 books worth Rs 5.74 lakhs to the college. The books in subjects such as commerce, management , Chemistry, English, Geology, Geography, Environmental science, Economics and other subjects and languages.
