KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 07, 2026: The Women Empowerment Cell of the SRR Government Arts and Science College (autonomous) in Karimnagar celebrated the International Women’s Day celebrations on 7th March at the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Seminar Hall. The programme was conducted to highlight the importance of women’s empowerment and to recognise the contributions of women in society.
On this occasion, Saka Shailaja, Founder and Managing Director of Roja’s Group of Industries, attended as the Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion, Shailaja shared her inspiring entrepreneurial journey and encouraged women to pursue their goals with determination. She emphasised that if we work sincerely towards our goals, society will support us, but honesty and sincerity are very important for success.
Principal Prof. K. Ramakrishna, in his message, stated that educating a woman is equal to educating the entire nation, as women play a crucial role in shaping families and society.
Vice Principal P. Nithin said that women must empower themselves through education, skills, and confidence in order to reach their goals and achieve success.
Vice Principal T.Rajaiah highlighted that there are numerous opportunities available for women today, and they should utilise them effectively to achieve their dreams.
NSS Programme Officer Elizabeth Rani spoke about the challenges faced by women in the present day and said that although women face many difficulties, there are several ways to overcome them through awareness, education, and determination.
Women Empowerment Cell Coordinator M Archana emphasised that a woman must be physically fit, mentally strong, and financially independent; once these qualities are achieved, nothing can stop her from reaching great heights.
Many faculty members and students also expressed their views on women’s empowerment during the programme. The event witnessed the participation of faculty members Shireesha, Narmada, Repeka, Chandrashekar, Tara, Srilatha, and Aruna, along with students and staff, making the celebration meaningful and inspiring.
