From engineering feats like bridges and skyscrapers to the algorithms behind search engines, math makes modern life possible. In the arts, math plays a role too. The golden ratio has inspired artists and architects for centuries, while music’s rhythms and harmonies are based on mathematical principles of frequencies. Math also improves problem-solving skills, encouraging logical thinking in everyday tasks like budgeting or planning a trip.
