RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, MARCH 05, 2026: As a prelude to the ensuing International Women’s Day celebrations, the Women Empowerment Cell, Internal Complaints Committee and National Service Scheme of Government Degree College, Sircilla, Agraharam, celebrated the Women’s Day well in advance on the college campus on Thursday.

On this occasion, the speakers said that women’s position in contemporary society is strong, as they are not only excelling at their workplaces but also balancing their various roles at home. They said, “It is the need of the hour that the empowered women should take the lead and become the voice for the voiceless, breaking all barriers. At every level in society, be it economic, political or social, today we see women doing their best.” The girl students were also educated to become self-reliant.
