RAMAGUNDAM, MARCH 05, 2026: NTPC Ramagundam and Telangana celebrated the 55th National Safety Day on 5 March 2026 with enthusiastic participation from employees, associates, CISF personnel and workers, reaffirming the organisation’s strong commitment towards safety and well-being at the workplace.
The programme was graced by the Head of Project, Mr Chandan Kumar Samanta, ED (R&T), along with General Managers of Ramagundam and Telangana, CISF officials, Heads of Departments, employees and workers.
AGM (Safety), R&T delivered the welcome address and highlighted the safety performance of the stations, emphasising the importance of safety in NTPC’s operations and the need for continuous improvement in safety practices and behaviour.
On the occasion, HOP Chandan Kumar Samanta unfurled the Safety Flag and addressed the gathering. Referring to this year’s Safety Day theme, “Engage, Educate and Empower People to Enhance Safety,” he emphasised the importance of active participation, awareness and empowering employees to stop unsafe work at the workplace to strengthen the safety culture. He also urged all Heads of Departments to ensure that the safety message reaches every worker and employee to achieve the target of Zero Incident. He appreciated all departments for their dedicated efforts in maintaining a strong safety culture.

The Safety Pledge was administered in English by GM (O&M) Telangana, Mr Mukul Rai; in Hindi by GM (O&M) Ramagundam, Mr Manish Agarwal; and in Telugu (local language) by AGM (Operation) Telangana, Mr K. Lingaiah.
The enthusiastic participation of employees and workers during the event reaffirmed NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and health at the workplace.
