KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 26, 2026: With an intent to focus on new-age skills under the new education policy, IBM and ICT Academy, in collaboration with Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Sciences (JITS), Karimnagar, launched a four-day Advanced Skills Training Programme in the field of Computer Science from February 25 to 28 on the college campus.
The programme was designed for final-year students of B.Tech CSE and CSM, offering new-age computer science engineering programmes to equip students with cutting-edge industry skills.

Under this initiative, Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (JITS) has been officially recognised by IBM as a Host Institute to train students in Advanced IT skills. As part of the programme, students will receive specialised training on AWS and its related technologies. They will also be provided access to dedicated online learning resources and a web portal for a period of six months, enabling continuous learning beyond the classroom. The training programme focuses on enhancing students’ technical competencies, practical exposure, and overall employability skills to make them industry-ready.


Expert trainers from IBM are conducting hands-on sessions and sharing valuable insights into current industry trends and requirements. CSE HoD Ravindar, Programme Coordinator G.Sindhusha, and IBM trainers attended the inaugural session. During the event, IBM representatives presented a certificate recognising Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (JITS) as a Host College for delivering Advanced IT Skills Training.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Juvvadi Sagar Rao, Secretary J Sumith Sai, Dean P.K.Vaishali, and Principal T.Anil Kumar expressed their happiness and appreciation for the initiative. They stated that such industry-collaborative programmes significantly benefit students by bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations, thereby enhancing their career prospects. The students expressed enthusiasm and gratitude for the opportunity, stating that the programme would greatly help them strengthen their technical knowledge and improve their employability skills.
