KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 16, 2026: Students of Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Sciences (autonomous) in Karimnagar have won first prize at the National-level Hackathon titled ‘CBIT Hackathon for SUDHEE 2026’ on Saturday.
Students of the CSE department of JITS, including team leader T Bhavani (23271A05H9), members Shifa Tabaseem (23271A05C9) and Ch Vyshnavi (23271A05M7) have emerged victorious of first domain project titled “Green Genie-AI and IoT-based Smart Farming support”. The project wasn’t just a technical feat. It was a glimpse into how JITS’s students are trained to build solutions, not just complete assignments.

More than 200 teams registered, and 70 teams were shortlisted for this national event. Among them, the five teams were short-listed for the final,s and the JITS students secured first prize for their innovation and creative project. The students secured a cash prize of Rs 12,000.
On this occasion, JITS Chairman Juvvadi Sagar Rao and Secretary J Sumith Sai congratulated the students for their outstanding achievement and bringing laurels to the institution through innovation, technical excellence and teamwork. These hackathon victories are more than one-off achievements. They’re indicators of a new generation of talent, self-driven, systems-aware, and deeply aligned with what the world needs next, they stated and congratulated the faculty members and wished the students good luck in their future endeavours.
