HANAMKONDA, FEBRUARY 14, 2026: Sri Sevalal Maharaj Jayanti was celebrated with great devotion and cultural enthusiasm at Kakatiya Government College (Autonomous), Hanamkonda, on Saturday.
The programme was organised to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sevalal Maharaj, the revered spiritual leader and social reformer of the Banjara (Lambadi/Gor) community.

The event was presided over by the Vice Principal, D Rajashekar, who addressed the gathering and highlighted the life, teachings, and social reforms initiated by Sevalal Maharaj. He emphasised the importance of moral discipline, unity, cultural preservation, and education for community empowerment.
Faculty members, J.Chinna, P.Dinkar, Seetharam, Srinath, Srinivas, Staff Club Secretary M.Ravi Kumar, Ramesh, G.K.Kumar, Md .Yakub, non-teaching staff, and students actively participated in the celebration. The program began with floral tributes to the portrait of Sevalal Maharaj, followed by cultural performances, traditional songs, and speeches reflecting Banjara heritage and values.
The celebration reinforced the institution’s commitment to inclusivity, cultural diversity, and social harmony.
