\Senior IAS officer Jyothi Buddha Prakash, who has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of Singareni Collieries, formally assumed charge on Thursday morning at Singareni Bhavan, Hyderabad. On his arrival at Singareni Bhavan, he was welcomed by the General Manager (Coordination & Marketing), Sri T.Srinivas. Thereafter
Jyothi Buddha Prakash took over his official responsibilities in the Chairman’s office. On this occasion, the company’s Directors—Director (Operations) Sri L. V. Suryanarayana, Director (Projects & Planning) Sri K. Venkateshwarlu, Director (Personnel & Finance) Sri Gowtham Potru, and Executive Director (Coal Movement) Sri B. Venkanna—extended their congratulations to the Chairman by presenting bouquets.The Directors also briefed him on the overall functioning of Singareni. Dr. Jyothi Buddha Prakash is a senior IAS officer of the 2002 batch. Until now, he served as the Secretary, Scheduled Castes Development Department, and also held key responsibilities as Secretary to the State Planning Department. Earlier, he worked in various capacities in regions where Singareni coal mines are located. He also served effectively as the District Collector of Adilabad and as the ITDA Project Officer in Bhadrachalam.
