KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 12, 2026: The annual inter-collegiate technical festival “Innofest–2026” was formally inaugurated on Thursday at Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (JITS – Autonomous), Karimnagar. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Prof. A. Krishnaiah, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Senior Professor, UCE, Osmania University, Hyderabad.
The inaugural programme was held in the college seminar hall, where Prof. A. Krishnaiah commenced the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Addressing the gathering, he stated that such technical festivals help in developing competitive spirit, cooperation, discipline, patience, and leadership qualities among students. He encouraged students to excel not only in academics but also in innovation, research, and emerging technologies.

The coordinator informed that events such as Project Expo, Paper Presentation, Code-O-Quick, Robo Explore, Circuit Design, Poster Presentation, and General & Technical Quiz are being organized on February 12, with around 300 teams participating in the festival.
As part of Innofest–2026, Prof. A. Krishnaiah visited the Project Expo, interacted with students, enquired about their innovative projects, and offered valuable suggestions and guidance.

Chairman J sagar Rao expressed his happiness over the successful organisation of Innofest–2026 and appreciated the efforts of the management, faculty, and students. He stated that such platforms nurture innovation, technical excellence, and research orientation among young minds. He emphasised that JITS remains committed to providing opportunities that promote creativity, industry-relevant skills, and entrepreneurial thinking, aligning with the institution’s vision of producing competent and socially responsible engineers.
The Secretary and Correspondent, Mr Juvvadi Sumith Sai, remarked that the programme is instrumental in bringing out the hidden creativity and talent of students. He further mentioned that, as an initiative to encourage entrepreneurial skills and startup culture, stalls were set up within the college campus to help students develop independent business and managerial abilities.
Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams during the college’s annual day celebrations. He also informed that the annual cultural festival “Utsav–2026” will be held on Friday, February 13.
The event was attended by JITS Principal T. Anil Kumar, JIPS Pharmacy College Principal Mr. V. Raj Kumar, JITS Dean P. K. Vaishali, Heads of various Departments, coordinators, faculty members, and students.
