JAGTIAL, FEBRUARY 07, 2026: The NSS unit and Health Club of the Government Degree College for Women in Jagtial town organised an awareness programme on Scientific Temper on environmental protection, the Constitution and Organ donation on Saturday.
On this occasion, Ganji Eshwar Rao, President of the Amma Netra, Organ and Body Donation Promoters Association, addressed the students and created awareness about the importance of organ donation.
Later, Jayaraju, a Kaloji Pushkara Award recipient, well-known nature poet and lyricist, spoke about the need to live in harmony with nature. He emphasised that we must protect nature and pass on a clean and healthy environment to future generations. He also explained that every individual should have awareness about the Indian Constitution.
After that, Ramesh, Founder of the Jana Vignana Darshini and a renowned scientist, stated that even though we are living in the era of AI, superstitions have not been eliminated. He advised students to develop scientific awareness about such beliefs and demonstrated a few concepts experimentally. He also explained the difference between belief and superstition.
The programme was attended by In-charge Principal Varaprasad, NSS Programme Officer Sujatha, Shrilatha, N Sangeetha Rani, Health Club Coordinator G. Neeraja, Vasavi, Ramchander, Mallikarjun, other faculty members, and students.
