JAGTIAL, FEBRUARY 07, 2026: The Government Degree College for Women (Autonomous), Jagtial has achieved commendable results in the recently conducted B.A., B.Com and B.Sc first-year (First Semester) and second-year (Third Semester) degree examinations. The results were officially released on Saturday by the Principal, Prof. K. Ramakrishna, after approval by the Controller of Examinations, Satavahana University, Suresh Kumar, at the college premises.
On this occasion, the Principal stated that in the Third Semester examinations, the overall pass percentage of the college stood at 59.35%. Programme-wise results were: B.A. – 66.67%, B.Com – 66.10%, B.Sc Life Sciences – 52.70%, and B.Sc Physical Sciences – 45.83%. He specially congratulated the students of Botany, Economics, English, History, Political Science, Hindi and Urdu for securing pass percentages above 90%.
He further informed that in the First Semester examinations, the college recorded an overall pass percentage of 55.68%. The programme-wise results were: B.A. – 50.59%, B.Com – 55.05%, B.Sc Life Sciences – 62.96%, and B.Sc Physical Sciences – 50.00%. Students of Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, English, History, Mathematics, Hindi and Urdu once again achieved more than 90% results and were appreciated for their performance.
The Principal stated that these results are better than those of other colleges affiliated to Satavahana University in the erstwhile Karimnagar district and attributed the significant academic progress to the Autonomous status of the institution.
On this occasion, he congratulated the Controllers of Examinations T Pramod Kumar, V Varaprasad and N Sangeeta Rani, along with the Heads of various departments, who extended their cooperation in successfully conducting the examinations. He added that the results would be available on the college website and that students who appeared for the examinations could apply for revaluation at the Examination Section up to the 12th of this month (Thursday).
