WARANGAL, FEBRUARY 06, 2026: An Awareness Programme on “Entrepreneurship as a Career: Skills and Opportunities” was organised by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Kakatiya Government College (Autonomous), Hanumakonda, in the Seminar Hall, on Friday.
The programme was presided over by D Rajashekar, Vice Principal, addressing the students, he stressed the growing importance of entrepreneurship in the present economic scenario. Vice-Principal Rajani Latha highlighted that entrepreneurship helps students become self-reliant, innovative, and confident decision-makers, and plays a crucial role in employment generation and nation-building.

The resource person, Dhanunjaya Rao, addressed the gathering and strongly emphasised that students should not wait for jobs but should aim to grow as entrepreneurs. He stated that idea generation, innovation, and risk-taking are the core pillars of entrepreneurship. He further added that continuous learning and adaptability are essential for sustaining entrepreneurial ventures in a competitive market.
Bairi Srinivas, Coordinator, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, urged students to change their mindset from job seekers to job providers. He emphasised that the main objective of education should be to create entrepreneurs who can generate employment opportunities for others and contribute meaningfully to society.

Faculty members Venkata Ramana, J. Chinna, A. Anil Kumar, Yakub, G. K. Kumar, along with Naveen, Balu, Vinay Madhav, Sunitha, and Vandana, actively participated in the programme and encouraged students to explore entrepreneurship as a viable career option.
The programme concluded with an interactive session and enthusiastic participation from students of various departments.
