HYDERABAD, JANUARY 31, 2026: In connection with the ongoing 2nd Edition of CM’s Cup 2025, innovative Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based platform TAGS (Telangana Assistance for Games & Sports) was formally inaugurated on 31.01.2026 by K. Ramakrishna Rao, Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana, in the august presence of Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary to Government, Youth Advancement, Tourism & Culture (YAT&C) and Sports Department, A. Sonibala Devi, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, and Deputy Directors, SATG.
The newly launched initiative aim to strengthen sports governance, athlete support systems through advanced digital solutions.
TAGS consists of an integrated Website, AI Chatbot, and WhatsApp AI Chatbot, designed to provide real-time information, guidance, and support to sportspersons and stakeholders in Telugu and English Languages.
During the inauguration, the Chief Secretary of the Government of Telangana appreciated the Sports Authority of Telangana (SATG) for initiating the TAGS platform and highlighted its potential to significantly benefit athletes by improving accessibility, transparency, and responsiveness in sports administration.
The CS also emphasised the importance of leveraging technology for strengthening the overall ecosystem in the State for all departments.
The launch of TAGS marks a significant milestone in Telangana’s commitment to adopting innovative digital solutions for the holistic development of sports and sportspersons.
