NALGONDA, JANUARY 20, 2026: DDO and DYSO of State NSS Cell G Narasimha Goud on Tuesday urged students to develop a sense of service and contribute to society through National Service Scheme (NSS) programmes.
“Youth must recognise their social responsibility and step forward to serve,” he said, addressing a special programme organised by the NSS unit of Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU). He was speaking at a one-day awareness on CPR, AED and Basic First Aid and Red Ribbon training programme on the campus of the university. MGU Registrar, Prof Aluvala Ravi, highlighted the role of NSS in overall student development, encouraging volunteers to share their knowledge with the community.

APAI Nalgonda, Nikhat Unnisa, stressed the importance of awareness in health protection, while Dr Kalari Santosh Kumar delivered a lecture on HIV/AIDS prevention and CPR techniques. NSS Programme Coordinator Dr Maram Venkatramana Reddy said the programme is aimed at promoting social awareness and health consciousness among students. The event drew a large turnout of NSS officers, volunteers, and students from various colleges.
