KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 12, 2026: The wife of Municipal Commissioner of Karimnagar Praful Desai, Swetha Desai, has given birth to a healthy baby girl in the Mother and Child Health Centre in Karimnagar town on Monday.
Setting a significant example by trusting public healthcare and receiving regular antenatal care at the same facility, MCK Commissioner Praful Desai has said that he had joined his wife in the government hospital for delivery to instil confidence among the people.
Collector Pamela Satpathy has congratulated the MCK Commissioner couple and the hospital medical staff for the successful delivery. The district officials have claimed that the government hospitals were providing treatment on par with the private hospitals, and that too, free of cost.
It is surprising to see that several members of the medical fraternity were seen with the MCK commissioner, as is evident in the above picture. Whether the government doctors would provide the same treatment to the patients visiting the government hospital, the people questioned and added that they should stop media popularity and work with sincerity and provide medical assistance to all the people in the government hospitals.
