GODAVARIKHANI, JANUARY 12, 2026: The Winter GEM (Girl Empowerment Mission) Programme concluded successfully with a closing ceremony held at Kakatiya Auditorium, NTPC, Ramagundam, marking the completion of the winter training initiative for GEM students.
The programme began with ceremonial lamp lighting and rendition of the NTPC Geet. Mr Chandan Kumar Samanta, Executive Director (R&T), graced the occasion along with Mrs Rakhi Samanta, President, Deepthi Mahila Samithi (DMS). Mr Bijoy Kumar Sikdar, Head of HR, addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in fostering confidence, discipline, and holistic development among students.
GEM students presented cultural performances showcasing their learning and creativity during the programme. Certificates were distributed to participants in recognition of their successful completion of the training.
The ED (R&T) also shared his thoughts and views on this conclusion of GEM 2025. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr Pravin Kumar Choudhari, DGM (HR), followed by closing of the event. The Winter GEM Programme reflects NTPC’s continued commitment towards community development and youth empowerment.
