Tomala and Archana in Ekantham
TIRUMALA, DECEMBER 23, 2025: In all the Sri Vaishnava temples, Dhanurmasam is considered the most important month, which commenced on December 16 at 1.23 PM.
From December 17 onwards, Andal Tiruppavai replaced Suprabhata Seva in Tirumala temple which will continue till January 14.
Tiruppavai Pasurams:
Sri Andal (Godadevi) was considered one among the 12 Alwars and the only female Alwar also known as Nachiyar. Tiruppavai is a collection of 30 Pasuras composed by Andal in praise of Sri Venkateswara Swamy. Tiruppavai is a part of Alwar Divyaprabandha. It is particularly popular in Tamil literature. In the month-long Tiruppavai Parayanam at the Srivari temple, the Parayanamdars recite one verse a day.
Ekantha Seva is usually performed to Sri Krishna Swamy instead of Bhoga Srinivasamurthy and Tiruppavai recitation takes place in Ekantam only.
Tomala and Archana also in Ekantam
In view of Dhanurmasam, Tomala and Archana sevas performed in the Srivari temple are also observed in Ekantam. For this reason devotees will not be allowed for Tomala and Archana Sevas till January 14 and no recommendation letters will be entertained.
