
They flayed the management for the collection of additional fees from polytechnic students
KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 29, 2025: ABVP activists, along with parents and students, stage dharna in front of Vaageshwari College of Engineering on the outskirts of Karimnagar in protest against the collection of additional fees from the polytechnic students on Saturday.
Activists led by ABVP Karimnagar district convenor Pusala Vishnu and others participated in the dharna programme. Alleging that the college management was collecting additional fees from the polytechnic students despite securing free seats, they charged that the college had promised fee reimbursement and no fees before admissions and after joining the college, the management was demanding and collecting fees from students who secured admissions through merit and free seats in the polytechnic courses. They flayed the management for threatening the students that they would not allow them to write mid-exams if they did not pay the fees.
Stating that the students and parents were undergoing mental agony due to harassment from the Vaageshwari Engineering College management, the ABVP activists demanded that the district administration conduct a thorough inquiry and take action against the college for harassing the students. ABVP town secretary Chippa Yogesh, town joint secretaries Akash and Prashanth, town vice presidents Pradeeh and Rahul and several parents and students participated in the programme.
