
NALGONDA, NOVEMBER 26, 2025: Mahatma Gandhi University’s National Service Scheme (NSS) celebrated Indian Constitution Day, also known as National Law Day, with great fervour on Wednesday, highlighting the significance of the Constitution as a protective shield for the country.
Maddileti, NSS Coordinator, emphasised that the Indian Constitution provides equal opportunities to all citizens, irrespective of caste and religion, citing examples of eminent personalities like Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and Draupadi Murmu who rose to prominence due to these opportunities.
Maddileti praised the Constitution as one of the best in the world. Principal of the University College of Arts and Social Sciences, Aruna Priya, administered the pledge to students, urging them to follow the Constitution.
The event also featured an essay writing competition, with prizes awarded to winners, including T. Shiva Kumar, Poojita, R Harsha Vardhan, and G Priyanka. The programme was attended by Dr. M Anand, Mohammed Sherif, faculty members, and students.
