
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, NOVEMBER 25, 2025: Government Degree and PG college, Gambhiraopet, Rajanna-Sircilla district, celebrated Constitution Day to promote constitutional values among the faculty and the students as directed by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, on Wednesday.
Principal V Vijaya Lakshmi, the faculty, and the students of the college took an oath to abide by the Constitution. Addressing the students, the principal, Vijaya Lakshmi, explained the meaning ofthe Preamble and exhorted the students to follow the spirit behind it.
On this occasion, the Principal said that the Constitution of India, drafted by the Father of the Indian Constitution, Dr B.R. Ambedkar, clearly lays down the rights and duties of every citizen of the country. She stated that the Constitution stands as a strong foundation for the political, economic, social and industrial progress of India.
The programme was organised under the guidance of the Political Science department, Paka Dharmapuri. Controller of Examinations Suresh, who visited the college to supervise the examinations being conducted under the jurisdiction of Satavahana University, attended the programme as a special guest. He appreciated the Principal, Examination Coordinator, faculty and students for conducting the examinations in a very calm and orderly manner. He advised that every student should know the provisions of the Constitution and that the Constitution would be very helpful in shaping them as responsible future citizens of India.
Suman, a BA first-year student and folk singer, captivated everyone by singing a song depicting the greatness and personality of Dr B.R. Ambedkar. Later, the Controller of Examinations, Sri Suresh, was felicitated as a distinguished guest by the college.
Vice Principal M. Prabhakar, IQAC Coordinator Y Anjaneyulu, TASK Coordinator J Sravan Kumar, WEC Coordinator V Vani, Library In-charge & Scholarship Coordinator N. Adi Vishnu, K.V. Bikshamayya, Manohar, Srinivas, Krishna Prasad, Mahesh, Jagannatham, Deepika, Ramya, Senior Assistant Srinivas, and other teaching and non-teaching staff members and students participated and made the programme a grand success.
