
The camp was inaugurated as part of NCC’s 78th raising day celebrations on Tuesday
KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 25, 2025: A 10-day combined annual training camp of 9 Telangana NCC Battalions began at Police Training College, Karimnagar town, from November 24 to December 3, 2025. The formal inauguration was done on Tuesday as part of the 78th NCC Raising Day celebrations.
The camp brought together 560 cadets from seven districts of Telangana, including 246 girl cadets and 227 boy cadets. The camp involves rigorous training sessions and activities to enhance the physical and mental capabilities of the cadets. The camp will emphasise the core values of NCC such as leadership, teamwork and service to the nation. Cadets would participate in various drills, physical fitness programmes and educational sessions which promote a sense of brotherhood and discipline.
The celebrations were presided over by Col Rajesh Kapoor, officiating Group commander, Nizamabad Group. The event was graced by senior officials including Col VP Singh, Commanding Officer, 32 (T) battalion, Col Ramesh Sariyal, Commanding officer, 33 (T) battalion, Lt Col AK Jayanta, Commanding officer, 9 Telangana Battalion, Lt Col Vishnu Nair, 12 Telangana Battalion, Lt Col V Krishna, AO, 9 Telangana battalion, M Pitchaiah, Additional SP and Principal of Police Training College, Karimnagar and others were also present.
The programme features an oath on unity and discipline, a ceremonial march-past, a cultural presentation and the group-level prize distribution. Addressing the cadets, the Officiating Group Commander emphasised that unity remains the organisation’s greatest strength and discipline its defining virtue, which together embody the true spirit and pride of NCC. He also appreciated the cadets and highlighted the vital role of NCC in grooming responsible and motivated youth committed to national service.
Incidentally, the 9 Telangana NCC battalion, Karimnagar, has received the Best Battalion Trophy for the training year 2025-26. Similarly, the awards were presented to NCC cadets, Associated NCC officers, permanent instructors, civil staff and girl cadet instructors.
