HYDERABAD, NOVEMBER 24, 2025: Justice Surya Kant took oath as the 53rd Chief Justice of India at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on Monday (November 24, 2025) and will serve a tenure of 14 months and will retire in February 2027.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, and Telangana CM Revanth Reddy were among the dignitaries in attendance at the oath-taking ceremony on Monday.
The Chief Minister conveyed his greetings to Chief Justice Surya Kant on assuming office and expressed his best wishes for a distinguished and impactful tenure.
