
HANAMKONDA, NOVEMBER 19, 2025: The Department of English at Kakatiya Government Autonomous College, Hanumakonda, organised a 30-hour Certificate Course on Foundation Skills in English Phonetics, inaugurated by the Principal, Prof. G. Srinivas, on 27 October 2025.
The programme was conducted by three resource persons—N. Ramesh Chandra Srikanth, P. Dinakar, and B. Srinivas—to equip students with essential skills in English Phonetics. Participants were trained to identify and classify English speech sounds, use the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) for transcription, apply stress and intonation patterns, and improve pronunciation for greater fluency and accuracy.
At the valedictory session, Prof. G. Srinivas addressed the participants and distributed course completion certificates. He commended the students for their enthusiasm in mastering phonetic skills and emphasised the importance of accuracy and fluency in spoken English. Students expressed satisfaction with the programme, highlighting its role in enhancing their speaking and pronunciation skills.
