Bandi Sanjay Expresses Shock Over Saudi Bus Tragedy; Assures Full Support to Victims’ Families
Thousands Join Bandi Sanjay in ‘Sardar@150 Unity March’ at Karimnagar, Promoting Patel’s Ideals of National Unity
KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 17, 2025: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar urged the country’s youth to enter politics and work towards fulfilling the ideals of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
He expressed concern that if young people do not come forward, dynastic and family-based politics will continue to dominate and harm the nation’s democratic fabric. Such a trend, he said, is not good for India. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is firmly opposed to dynastic politics. To overcome global challenges and fierce international competition, India needs its youth to participate actively in politics, he emphasised.
As part of the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Bandi Sanjay took part in a “Sardar@150 Unity March” held from SRR College in Karimnagar. Thousands of students and youth joined the walk, marching alongside the Union Minister. Before the march began, MLCs Malka Komuraiah and Anji Reddy, District Collector Pamela Satpathy, and Police Commissioner Gaush Alam joined him.
Speaking to the media, Bandi Sanjay said, “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was the Iron Man who dedicated his entire life to India’s unity. He united 560 princely states under one flag, forging a single nation called India. Without Patel, Telangana would never have been liberated. The Nizam once conspired to either merge Telangana with Pakistan or turn it into an Islamic state. Imagine for a moment what would have happened if Telangana had not joined India — it would have become another Pakistan, Sri Lanka, or Bangladesh, a land of chaos and hunger.
Patel realised this danger early on and declared that if Telangana remained an independent state, it would be like a cancer in the womb of Mother India. Through ‘Operation Polo’ (the Police Action), he crushed the Nizam’s conspiracy and liberated Telangana. For this, Sardar Patel remains a revered figure for all of us.
Patel also played a crucial role in establishing India’s modern civil services system. His discipline, dedication, courage, and administrative excellence were his hallmarks.”
Bandi Sanjay added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government is organising a series of programs across the nation from October 31 to November 25 under the banner “Sardar@150 Unity March.” The aim is to spread Patel’s message of unity and patriotism among students and youth. He urged the media and social media volunteers to help promote these events widely to inspire the younger generation.
“Patel never backed down despite hardships and criticism. He dared to take bold decisions for the country. For him, it was always ‘Nation First, Self Next.’ Today’s youth should draw inspiration from Patel’s thoughts, values, discipline, and patriotism,” he said.
Bandi Sanjay emphasized that young people must enter politics to uphold Patel’s ideals and safeguard India’s democratic future. He said that youth confining themselves only to jobs, businesses, or foreign careers weakens the nation, slows innovation, and strengthens dynastic politics. He warned that if this continues, India may fall behind in the global race.
He also pointed out that many young people today are falling prey to drugs, alcohol, and pub culture, destroying their lives and causing deep pain to their parents. “To prevent such a decline, energetic and responsible youth must step into politics and lead the nation toward progress,” he said.
“I was deeply shocked to learn about the tragic bus accident in Saudi Arabia, in which 42 Indian nationals lost their lives. It is reported that 18 of them were Telugu people”.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is already in touch with the Saudi government regarding the incident. We will extend all possible assistance to the affected families and ensure that the injured receive the best medical care.
