
The Green Field Kitchen will supply food to all schools in the CM’s Kodangal assembly constituency
The foundation is already implementing the Breakfast scheme from December in the constituency
HYDERABAD, NOVEMBER 04, 2025: A big revolution is set to take place in providing hygiene and nutritious food to the government school students in the Telangana State. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will lay a foundation stone for the construction of a big green field kitchen in a sprawling 2 acres at Enkepalli near Kondangal on November 14. Akshaya Patra Foundation is constructing the kitchen, which will supply mid-day meals to all students studying in government schools in Kodangal assembly constituency.
On Monday, the representatives of Akshaya Patra Foundation met with the Chief Minister and invited to lay the foundation for the kitchen. The foundation representatives briefed CM Revanth Reddy about the facilities which are being provided to cook quality food and supply to students of the government schools in the kitchen of the CM’s Assembly Constituency. The breakfast scheme has already been launched in the constituency since December and has been supplying to 28,000 students in 312 schools in the constituency.
Currently, the government is paying Rs. 7 per student for the mid-day meal scheme in all government schools in the state. Akshaya Foundation was spending up to Rs. 25 to prepare and provide quality meals. The Foundation will bear the additional expenses in addition to the funds paid by the government. Arrangements are also being made to implement this scheme with the help of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.
The foundation members said that the breakfast scheme has already received tremendous response from the students and parents, and has set a role model for the country.
