
As part of the event, bhajan mandals will conduct Suprabatham, bhajans and meditation at the third choultry near Tirupati railway station every day, followed by sankeertans by bhajan mandals from Tamilnadu, Andhra and Karnataka. Later dharmic discourse, Hari Dasa preachings, and cultural programmes will follow in the evening.
SHOBA YATRA ON OCTOBER 31
Metla puja will commence on October 31 at 4.30 am at Alipiri, from where thousands of devotees will commence climbing Tirumala singing bhajans and sankeertans.
The Metlotsavam is a celebration of walking up the Tirumala hills in the footsteps of great devotees like Sri Vyasatertha, Sri Thyagaraya, Annamacharya, besides Vijayanagara emperor Sri Krishna Deva Raya. The Dasa Sahitya project had taken up the festival to revive the past glory of Tirumala.
