
NEW DELHI, OCTOBER 17, 2025: Union Minister of State for Cooperation Krishan Pal Gurjar chaired a high-level review meeting today to assess the progress of directives issued for enhancing media outreach and publicity initiatives in the cooperative sector.
The meeting emphasized the need to develop a strong and inclusive communication strategy to amplify awareness about the achievements, services, and social impact of cooperatives across the country. Mr Gurjar underlined that effective storytelling and innovative outreach tools are essential to bring the success stories of cooperatives closer to the people, in line with the Ministry’s vision of creating a more informed and participative cooperative movement.
Highlighting the potential of the ‘Bharat Organics’ initiative, the Minister called for a focused promotional campaign built around themes of health and wellness, particularly targeting youth and rural audiences. He urged all stakeholders to leverage the power of digital media — including social media platforms — for effective engagement and wider reach.
Mr Gurjar also encouraged the creation of short-form and visually engaging content such as reels, infographics, and YouTube videos to showcase the ground-level impact of various cooperative initiatives and schemes.
All officials and stakeholders were directed to formulate a comprehensive action plan to strengthen social media presence, enhance communication among cooperative institutions, and ensure active participation of beneficiaries in the movement.
The meeting was attended by Joint Secretary Shri Anand Kumar Jha I.A.S Director Shri Kapil Meena I.A.S , senior officials of the Ministry, and representatives of national-level cooperative federations.
