KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 03, 2025: A sniffer dog, Donny, who served the police force for 10 years, died due to age-related problems at Karimnagar Police Commissionerate on Friday.
Donny, who belonged to the Labrador Pinscher breed, was trained to detect explosives, robberies, murders etc. Donny helped the police in providing security during VIP visits and bandobusts at the Commissionerate, and participated in search operations under the supervision of dog handler T Murali.
Commissioner of Police Gaush Alam paid floral tributes to the Donny and recollected its services to the police department during the past 10 years. Additional DCP Bheem Rao, RI Johnny Miya, God handlers Murali, Raju, Shankar, Mahender, Kapil, Raji Reddy, Raju and others were also present.
