
HYDERABAD, OCTOBER 02, 2025: On the occasion of the 156th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, solemn tributes were paid at Bapu Ghat, Langer House, Hyderabad, on Thursday.
Mr Jishnu Dev Verma, Governor of Telangana, and A. Revanth Reddy, Chief Minister of Telangana, led the State in offering floral tributes at the Gandhi Samadhi. They were joined by Gutha Sukender Reddy, Chairman of the Telangana Legislative Council; Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Speaker of the Telangana Legislative Assembly; Mahesh Kumar Goud, TPCC President; Keshav Rao, Advisor to Government; Patnam Mahender Reddy, MLC; Addanki Dayakar, MLC; Niranjan, Chairman, BC Commission; Bandaru Dattatreya, former Governor; and V. Hanumantha Rao, former Member of Rajya Sabha, along with other dignitaries.
The dignitaries also participated in a special all-faith prayer meeting held at the Gandhi Museum Hall, reflecting Mahatma Gandhi’s message of harmony and universal brotherhood.
Later, floral tributes were also offered at the Gandhi statue by the Governor, Chief Minister, Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, Director General of Police B Shivadhar Reddy, Commissioner of Police Hyderabad V.C. Sajjanar, GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan, Hyderabad District Collector Harichandana Dasari, MD Tourism Corporation Valluri Kranthi, Additional Commissioner of Police Tafseer Iqbal, and other senior officials from various departments.
