People of the region celebrate the festival for only seven days and immerse Bathumammas on the seventh day
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, SEPTEMBER 27, 2025: The seven-day Bathukamma festival concluded at the Vemulawada temple town in Rajanna-Sircilla district on Saturday night.
The womenfolk of Vemulawada temple town celebrate Bathukamma festivities for only seven days and immerse the Bathukammas on Saturday. This is the only place in the Telangana state where the Bathukamma festival is celebrated for seven days.
The womenfolk in their best attire participated in the festivities with religious fervour and gaiety. They had stacked different varieties of flowers in a conical shape and placed them around the Mula vagu and on the temple premises, and played around them by singing songs, and immersed the Bathukamma in the holy tank and Mula vagu.
