
CM Revanth Reddy puts the entire administration on alert.
Orders the authorities to closely monitor the flood situation
HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 25, 2025: Following the IMD forecast that Telangana State will receive heavy rains in the next two days, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy put officials of all departments to remain on alert. The officials were ordered to closely monitor the flood situation in view of the prediction of heavy to very heavy rains in many parts of the State.
Instructing all district Collectors to review flood situations in heavy rain-hit areas regularly, the CM said that the dwellers in low-lying areas should be evacuated in advance and provided shelter in the relief camps. Traffic should also be halted on the roads which are covered with flood waters, and on the safety of causeways.
CM Revanth Reddy instructed the Electricity Department to take special measures for uninterrupted power supply, along with the removal of dangling wires for public safety during heavy rains. The educational institutions should also be on alert during the Dasara holidays.
Appealing to people not to venture out of the houses during heavy rains, the Chief Minister ordered the GHMC, HYDRAA, NDRF and SDRF teams to be on alert in Hyderabad.
