
TIRUMALA, SEPTEMBER 25, 2025: Vice President of India CP Radhakrishnan, along with Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu, inaugurated the Pilgrim Amenities Complex (PAC-5) in Tirumala on Thursday.
Constructed at a cost of Rs.102 Crore in an area of 2,69,617 sq ft, the complex comprises 16 dormitories, each equipped with a Mother-feeding chamber, Kalyanakatta, Annaprasadam hall, state-of-the-art facility is equipped with modern amenities, including 2,400 safety lockers, modern toilet facilities with 24/7 hot water (216 toilets, 216 bathrooms and 12 physically handicapped toilets), continuous R.O.water facility on each floor and ten high-speed elevators.
Both the VIP protocol dignitaries visited the tonsuring activity, locker allotment system, besides observed the functioning of two AI-enabled identification and sorting machines installed at the PAC, which allows pilgrims to dispose of tetra-packs and snack packets by logging in via UPI/QR code.
The Vice President and CM have also inaugurated the innovative double-chute, vision-based colour sorting machines at the Srivari Potu in Tirumala from PAC 5 itself.
These machines are manufactured by M/s Genn Solutions, Coimbatore, donated by the TVS company to effectively sort and remove impurities and foreign particles from the ingredients (except sugar) used to prepare laddu and other prasadams.
TTD Trust Board Chairman BR Naidu, EO AK Singhal, a few TTD board members, JEO Veerabrahmam, CVSO Muralikrishna, CE Satyanarayana and other officials were also present.
