
BERLIN (GERMANY), SEPTEMBER 25, 2025: Sri Ganesha Temple in Hasenheide, Berlin, in Germany, was adorned with colourful flowers, traditional songs, and lively dances as the Telangana Association Germany (TAG) e.V., under the leadership of founding president Dr Raghu Chaliganti, hosted the 12th annual Bathukamma Festival in grand style.
The event was graced by Dr Mandip Singh Thuli, Minister (Personal) at the Embassy of India, Berlin, who actively participated in the traditional Bathukamma rituals. Several heads of Indian associations across Germany also attended to extend their greetings and support to the Telugu community.
Over 300 Telugu women and families from Berlin and surrounding areas gathered to create the vibrant Bathukamma arrangements and participate in Boddemma Puja and Gouri Puja. Guests enjoyed a feast of authentic Telugu cuisine, adding flavour to the festive celebrations.
The programme showcased a rich mix of tradition and entertainment, including cultural performances, dance shows, fashion ramps, and a thambola game, keeping the audience enthralled. The festival was a resounding success, spreading joy across the venue, with participants visibly delighted and engaged throughout the day.
The event’s success was made possible by the dedicated efforts of TAG members – Venkata Ramana Bowenpally, Alekhya Bhoga, Sharath Reddy Kamidi, Balraj Ande, Avinash Pothumanchi, Srinath Ramani, Naresh Thoutam, Natesh Chetty, and Amulya Bommaraboina – along with the invaluable support of numerous volunteers.
