
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, SEPTEMBER 18, 2025: Students of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Women’s Degree College, Shatrajupalli, Vemulawada town, celebrated the Bathukamma celebrations and NSS Formation Day grandly in advance under the aegis of the NSS and Cultural Committee on Thursday.
On this occasion, students beautifully decorated, albeit arranged varieties of flowers in a conical shape as Bathukammas, participated joyfully in traditional attire, singing and dancing around Bathukammas. Later, on the occasion of NSS Formation Day, lectures were organised on service spirit and social responsibility, thereby inspiring students towards community service.
Speaking on this occasion, Principal K. Lavanya said, “While the Bathukamma festival reflects the beauty of our traditions, the NSS provides a platform that instils the spirit of service within us.” Vice Principal B. Sumalatha, NSS Programme Officer V. Swapna, Council Members G. Swapna and G. Rajini, and Cultural Committee Coordinator B. Poolamma addressed the gathering and encouraged the students.
Teaching staff, non-teaching staff, and students participated in this programme with great enthusiasm.
