
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 17, 2025: The 78th Telangana Liberation Day was celebrated at District Cooperative Central Bank in Karimnagar town on Wednesday, marking the liberation of Hyderabad from the Nizam’s rule on September 17, 1948.
As part of the Telangana government’s call to celebrate the day as ‘Praja Palana Dinnotsavam’, DCCB Vice Chairman P Ramesh, Directors V Mohan Reddy and Swami Reddy, CEO N Satyanarayana Rao and others unfurled the national flag and paid tributes to the portrait of Telangana Thalli.
On this occasion, the speakers recollected the Operation Polo launched by then Union Home Minister Sardar Vallabhai Patel following the directions of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru to liberate the Hyderabad state from the clutches of the Nizam rulers. They also informed the employees to rededicate themselves and strive for the programme of the bank, which has emerged as a role model in the country.
