JAGTIAL, SEPTEMBER 16, 2025: SKNR Government Arts and Science College, Jagtial, conducted a “Stock Market Investments Awareness Programme” on Tuesday. SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) expert Mr. M. Srinivas Reddy attended as the chief guest and provided extensive insights to the students.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Srinivas Reddy cautioned that in recent times, youth are getting attracted to the stock market, but investing without proper awareness may lead to losses. He explained that before making investments, it is essential to understand fundamental analysis, risk management methods, and to remain vigilant against fraudulent schemes. He also illustrated with examples how mutual funds, SIPs (Systematic Investment Plans), and long-term investments can help achieve financial stability.
The program was organised under the supervision of the Commerce Department. College Principal Prof. A. Ashok presided over the session. Addressing the gathering, he said, “Along with education, students should also develop financial literacy. In the digital era, seeking expert advice in areas like the stock market will help secure better opportunities in the future.”
On this occasion, Commerce Department Head A. Govardhan, Rajitha, Venu, Lt. P. Raju, Librarian K. Surender, G.V.R. Sai Madhukar, Mahesh, Swaroopa, Swaroopa Gattayya, Kavitha, Supriya, and Pawan Kalyan, along with other faculty members, participated. Students enthusiastically took part, posed questions to the expert, and clarified their doubts.
