TIRUMALA, SEPTEMBER 16, 2026: The Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam was held at the Tirumala Srivari temple on Tuesday, a sacred ritual and a prelude to the upcoming Srivari Brahmotsavam, which is scheduled to take place from September 24 to October 2, 2025. This traditional cleansing ceremony involved cleaning the entire temple complex, with a special fragrant mixture called Parimalam applied to the sanctum sanctorum and all sub-temples.
TTD Chairman BR Naidu, Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal, and several board members were also present. Following the purification process, special Kainkaryams will be conducted for the Lord, and devotees will have the opportunity for darshan. The TTD had cancelled the VIP break darshan and recommendation letters following the Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam.
Speaking to the media, TTD EO Anil Singhal stated that the chairman, officials, and staff have successfully purified the temple, and arrangements are being made to accommodate the thousands of devotees expected to attend the Brahmotsavam. He confirmed that the TTD board would hold a special meeting to ensure that all aspects of the event run smoothly, emphasising that efforts are being made to prevent any difficulties for the devotees. Singhal also highlighted that, during the Brahmotsavams, attendees will have the opportunity to see not only the darshan of Swamiji’s Moolavirat but also the vehicle services.
