
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 12, 2025: Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (Autonomous), Karimnagar, hosted the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 – Internal Hackathon on Friday (September 12, 2025), with great enthusiasm and student participation.
The Smart India Hackathon, a nationwide initiative of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), provides students with a vibrant platform to address real-world challenges and contribute innovative solutions that can transform lives. The 2025 edition of SIH focused on crowd-sourcing ideas that enhance governance, improve the quality of life, and empower young innovators to co-create a better future for India.
More than just a competition, the event was a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. From overnight coding marathons to brainstorming breakthrough concepts, the hackathon highlighted the passion and ingenuity of every participant. Out of 62 registered teams, 45 teams advanced to the next stage, taking a step closer to national recognition at SIH 2025.
Participants worked on real-life problem statements across diverse domains, including Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Disaster Management, MedTech& Healthcare, Agriculture and Smart Cities. Each team showcased unique ideas—ranging from farmer-support applications to healthcare innovations and smart city solutions—proving that no idea is too small when it comes to creating impact.
The event witnessed active encouragement from the Jyothishmathi Group of Institutions Chairman, J. Sagar Rao and Secretary J. Sumith Sai, who motivated students to participate in SIH 2025. Around 400 BTech students attended the programme, alongside the Principal, T. Anilkumar, Dean (Academics & Audit), P.K. Vaishali, Heads of Departments, Convenor & SPOC N. Venkateswaran, and dedicated faculty members who guided and inspired students throughout the hackathon.
The internal hackathon was a true testament to the spirit of innovation, teamwork, and the boundless potential of young minds at JITS.
