
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, SEPTEMBER 09, 2025: Department of Telugu of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Women’s Degree College, Shathrajupalli, Vemulawada, celebrated the Telangana Language Day with enthusiasm on Tuesday to commemorate the birth anniversary of Kaloji Narayan Rao.
The faculty members led by Principal K Lavanya paid floral tributes to the portrait of Kaloji and recollected his services for the promotion of the Telangana language. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Lavanya said, “Telangana language is our soul and our identity. Our strength and our pride are rooted in our language itself. The younger generation must take pride in their mother tongue, preserve it, and transform it into a platform for creativity,” she remarked.
Vice Principal B. Sumalatha and Head of the Telugu Department S. Sandhya Rani explained the uniqueness of the language and encouraged students to take inspiration from Telangana literature and move forward.
Faculty member V. Swapna and Staff Secretary G. Rajini also spoke about the importance of the Telangana language. Students impressed everyone by showcasing the greatness of Telangana language through speeches, songs, and dances. Faculty members and students participated enthusiastically in the programme.
