KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 04, 2025: Alumni of the Government Degree College, Jammikunta, Karimnagar district, sponsored the serving of midday meals to the day-scholar students of the college.
The midday meal scheme was formally inaugurated by Joint Directors of Commissionerate of Collegiate Education, Prof G Yadagiri and Prof DSR Rajender Singh and Academic Guidance Officer Prof P Bala Bhaskar. Thanking the noble gesture of alumni of the college, Batchu Bhaskar, an alumnus of the college, for serving midday meals to the students, the Joint Directors informed the students to utilise the midday meal scheme and stay in the college by spending quality time in the library preparing for academic and competitive examinations.
This scheme has been sponsored by Batchu Basker, a local businessman, since last year. Professor Rajender Singh appreciated the contribution of Batchu Basker to the midday meal at the UG level in the Government Degree College, Jammikunta.
Principal B. Ramesh stated that this scheme is very useful and helpful for the students who are coming from distant villages and thanked the donor, Batchu Basker. Vice Principal S. O. Kumar and College Alumni and Academic Coordinator K. Rajendram, K. Ganesh, Shamla, Umakiran, Madhavi, Ravi, Srinivas Reddy, Ravinder Rajkumar, Mamatha, Sai, Ramesh and students participated in this programme.
